AR: How did you two meet?

C: We actually went to the same high school and both played on the soccer teams. We coached little kids soccer together a few times back then but it wasn’t until many years later that we reconnected after both moving to Columbus for work. We reconnected when Marcus slid in my dm’s and from there the rest was history. 

M: Initial we met while both volunteering to coach little kids at a soccer camp back in our hometown in high school and then years and years later reconnected in Columbus where we both were currently living.

AR: What was your first date?

C: Our first date was actually back in our childhood hometown at the park that we coached little kids soccer at. I’ll never forget how he won me over with one of my favorite snacks at the time…frosted animal crackers lol!!!

M: Our first date was actually back at the same park we coach kids at and we walked for hours and hours talking. I also brought her frosted animal crackers. 

AR: How did your proposal happen?

C: We had been talking about getting engaged for a while and I had no idea when it was gonna happen but I only had one request. Someone had to be around to capture the moment because I’m a photo junkie and I wanted to be able to remember the moment forever. Marcus proposed to me on the top of a rooftop during my birthday weekend celebration. I didn’t see it coming at all but the proposal couldn’t have been more perfect! And yes many photos were taken and a video of it happening was captured. He did good. 

M: She thought we were just going out with her friends to celebrate a few days after her birthday and we were at the top the Lincoln Social Rooftop Bar and I completely caught her off guard proposing up to her there that day.

AR: What do you remember most from your wedding day?

C: I wish I could relive our wedding day over and over again! It truly was the best day! I think I remember most how happy I felt and how all my nerves just melted away the second I saw Marcus! I’ll never forget the happiness and love I felt that day and how magical it felt. 

M: How incredible and breathtaking my wife looked and just the euphoria of the whole day felt like a dream.
