AR: How did you two meet?
R: We met on the match.com app. I messaged him first 🙂
B: We met on match during fall of the pandemic. She did indeed message me first.
AR: What was your first date?
R: A snowy hike at Highbanks Metro Park with Hazel.
B: Our first date was in December to Highbank Metro Park. We thought a nice hike would be a good way to meet during the pandemic and it let Rachel bring Hazel along to chaperone.
AR: How did your proposal happen?
R: Brent surprised me by proposing on the first morning of a trip to Napa, CA. We got to celebrate by spending the day wine tasting.
B: Rachel had been planning a trip to Napa for us to visit a few wineries and to revisit some place she enjoyed while she lived in San Franscisco. We had some logistical issues so the ring didn’t make it but the trip seemed like the perfect setting so I asked her without it and let her pick out exactly the ring she wanted.
AR: What do you remember most from your wedding day?
R: Tapping Brent on the shoulder for our first look, made all of the stress of the day fall away. That moment followed by seeing our dog Hazel coming down the aisle towards us in her wedding dress is one I will always cherish.
B: I also think the first look is what I remember most. We had done a good job of not seeing each others wedding outfits and it was exciting to get to see Rachel on her dress since I knew she was really happy with what she had picked out. Another thing I remember is just everyone enjoying dancing. There are a lot of weddings that don’t have a lot of participation on the dance floor so it was really fun to see everyone enjoying the wedding.

She was a coordinator, a real life anxiety cure, a hair dresser during pictures & the reception, company that I truly enjoyed for the day, and of course, a wonderful photographer as well. She was with us throughout the whole day with no rush to hurry through anything & always making sure we were okay and getting the pictures we wanted. Joe & I truly do not know what we would’ve done without her on our big day. If you’re getting married, you absolutely have to hire her."
